Brosix Enterprise Messaging Wins, Places in Best IM Client Competition

About.com recently announced the results of their 2009 Best IM Client Competition which generated thousands of nominations and votes. Brosix Enterprise Messaging was a surprise victor in two categories and placed in the top three in three other categories. Brosix was going up against companies such as Microsoft, Google, and Yahoo.

Brosix won “Best Instant Messaging Feature” for their Whiteboard feature. About.com’s Instant Messaging Editor Brandon De Hoyos had this to say in the results page, “This exciting feature allows Brosix users to draw diagrams, images and other visuals to help Brosix’s largely business-based user illustrate their points. Paired with other low-cost conferencing tools, Whiteboard can help make business communications easier and more affordable over similar web-conferencing tools available on the Internet.”

Brosix also emerged victorious in the “Developers of the Year” contest which lead to Brandon writing, “Founded in 2006, Brosix’s developers at software creator D-Bross, of Bulgaria, worked to build one of the most versatile, efficient and cost-effective IM clients for business. Today, their client is becoming more and more popular in businesses across North America and around the globe.

Offering businesses and organizations the opportunity to operate their own, private, secure IM network while also saving them time and money with their easy-to-use client, Brosix has built a niche for itself where fewer clients are able to tread.”

Brosix also placed in the top three for the “2009 Best IM Client” and “Best Independent IM Client“. The other result for Brosix was 2nd in “Most Improved Instant Messaging Clients“.

“These results are a credit to the entire Brosix team. We’ve been working extremely hard to build the best enterprise messaging client that we can. We are proud of what we have accomplished thus far and look forward to continuing to work on Brosix for years to come as we build the best enterprise messaging client for businesses the world over,” remarked Stefan Chekanov, one of the founders of Brosix.

Founded in 2006, Brosix offers both a secure enterprise messaging client and a free instant messaging version for Windows-based computers, with a Mac version on the way. For more information visit http://www.brosix.com.

Brosix Wins, Places in “Best IM Competition”

Brosix was entered into several categories for the “Best IM Client” Competition over on About.com. The results were announced today and Brosix won in the following categories: Best IM Feature and Developers of the Year.

The Developers of the Year page said the following about the Brosix developers:

The story of Brosix, the tiny enterprise IM client, is a lot like the story of David and Goliath. What they don’t have an impressive ad budget nor name recognition, Brosix has made up in customer satisfaction and a great IM client, which is why About.com readers (and satisfied Brosix users) helped them capture this year’s award for Developers of the Year.

Founded in 2006, Brosix’s developers at software creator D-Bross, of Bulgaria, worked to build one of the most versatile, efficient and cost-effective IM clients for business. Today, their client is becoming more and more popular in businesses across North America and around the globe.

It is great recognition for Brosix Enterprise Messaging and it bodes well for the future of the company. We also placed well in several other categories so scoot on over and check it out. Congrats to the whole Brosix team!

Brosix Free Trial Available

Did you know that Brosix offers a free 30-day trial for a free private network? I mentioned this in a previous post, but I feel that it is a good enough deal to repeat twice! If you go to this page on the Brosix website: https://www.brosix.com/net/RegisterNetworkFree.aspx, it will only take you a few seconds to sign up for your own private network for 10 users. This trial version is also NOT a watered-down ‘trial program’ of the real Brosix secure IM program. According to the sign-up page,

During the trial period you will be able to use all the features of the full version. At any time you will be able to upgrade and add more user licenses through the web control panel.

This means that you can fully try Brosix before you buy. If you don’t want to go into setting up your own network, or are looking for a more permanent free option, check out Brosix Public, which is a free version of the Enterprise Brosix IM program that charges a per-user fee.

It doesn’t get much more affordable than free, now does it? The Brosix creators and developers have created this 30-day trial and Brosix Public because they are sure that you will love Brosix and want to use it in your workplace for all of your private network online communications.

The Audacity of Brosix

I come from a political/nonprofit background in terms of the majority of my work experience. Some of you may recall my earlier posts regarding the nature of campaign life. When I first began working in politics I was shocked to see people on Instant Messenger all of the time, I thought that would be some sort of banned item in the workplace, yet every person was on IM. The official contact information published within the campaign actually had screen names published. The campaign embraced the sort of quick communication that instant messaging offers because in a campaign everything is running at Defcon Three – every little moment or event is an emergency.

Campaigns often worry about security because spying can be rampant. Memos are leaked, cell phones listened in on, servers hacked, etc. The media and rival campaigns are always trying to figure out what everyone is up to and so security is always stressed. Yet campaigns allow/encourage free messaging software for their messaging needs which is just stunning since they’d never allow workers to use webmail clients such as gmail or Yahoo.

Enterprise instant messaging needs to be embraced by political campaigns now, hence the title (sorry – I know that saying has become almost a cliche by this point). Enterprise messaging offers the sort of security, collaborative features, ease, and low cost that political campaigns and nonprofits need to embrace. Nonprofits rely on a statewide, or national, organization largely staffed by volunteers and slim budgets – while campaigns are often a spread out organization – and both forms of organization would save money and be rewarded by using Brosix as their instant messaging client.

It is time for the nonprofit/political world to embrace the curve of technology and employ the Brosix Enterprise Messaging client. Trust me, as a member of that world I know how well they would benefit from doing so!

Open your Company’s Eyes to the Benefits of IM

When you think about interoffice communication what comes to mind? Most people think about walking from office to office, or spending loads of time on the phone. As you know, this can be time consuming and downright irritating at some points in the day. If you are tired of all the wasted time you need to open your company’s eyes to the benefits of instant messaging. This is the wave of the future, and if you continue to live in the past you and your employer will be passed by soon enough.

How can I show my company that communicating via instant messages is the way to go? To start, you should talk to the person in charge. Does your direct boss have the power to make this happen? If so, talk to him about the benefits that instant messaging has to offer to you and those around you. Some employees take it upon themselves to start instant messaging without permission; this is a mistake. By getting your company involved you can avoid trouble, while also showing that you are a team player who is trying to make things better.

Once you begin to use an instant messaging tool you should see an increase in productivity and efficiency. Simply put, the hard part is getting your company to join in on the action. Soon enough they will realize that instant messaging does offer benefits, and that you were the mastermind behind this move. As you can see, not only will instant messaging help you from day to day but it will also move you up the ranks within your company. How does that sound to you?

Brosix is a Great Encrypted IM Client

One of Brosix’s main draws is it’s security- it truly is an encrypted IM client. This is because, according to Brosix’s website:

Brosix encrypts all the traffic with 256-bit keys. Instant messages, File transfers, Voice chats, Video chats, Text chats etc. are encrypted and only the recipient users can decrypt and use or see them.

This means that every IM transaction through the Brosix IM is secure. If you are looking for an ecrypted IM Client that will provide excellent customer service and technical support, look no further. Brosix offers these services free  when you use the Brosix IM client for all your secure professional communication needs.

Why do you need an encrypted IM client for online workplace communication? Simple. Brosix offers a secure way of interfacing with co-workers and employees online without the stress of having to worry about viruses, trojans, pop-up ads, and hackers infiltrating your network and computers.

Brosix not only offers an ecrypted IM client program, it offers peace of mind. And that is something that most people would pay almost anything for. In this day and age, you don’t need to waste your time and efforts on ‘free’ IM programs that include hidden plug-ins, add-ons, and additional ‘features’ that don’t make any real contribution to your company communications.

To try Brosix completely free for 30 days,  visit https://www.brosix.com/net/RegisterNetworkFree.aspx
